Launched in 2006 Lead Member State: France Partner Member States: Germany & Sweden Aim: highlighting new ways for different key actors to tackle ethnic discrimination by using experiences developed in Equal projects

Representatives of the European Commission Member State governmental representatives Participants in the non-profit sector Representatives of major Trade Union organisations Officials from major European municipalities: Uppsala, Barcelona, Paris, Bremen. Large businesses: Macif, Fexco Nordic, Air France KLM

More than 60 projects presented their results and their methods, shared their successes and encouraged decision-makers to make use of them

Recommendations Employment and Training Intermediaries Promoting capacity-building of staff in employment services for non-discriminatory working practices Developing new services and new forms of co-operation in order to facilitate the integration of minorities facing discrimination

Recommendations Trade Unions
Reinforcing the role of mediator in Trade Unions in order to provide specific assistance to immigrant workers Putting the fight against ethnic discrimination at the heart of Trade Union action : appeals, collective bargaining, regulations
