ED – 2:
Looking for evidence that faculty:
Have specified the clinical experiences
That they continuously monitor
Adjust experience as needed
This is not necessarily a numbers documentation
Must Have Core List:
Symptoms, syndromes, diseases and specific clinical skills or procedures
Core list should be linked to objectives (USF CARES) and defensible for the content area
Core list should distinguish what is essential from what’s desirable.
If on core list, all students should (must) experience it.
Faculty must determine the level of interaction (observe, examine, participate) and when simulation is an appropriate alternative. Retrospective analysis is not sufficient; the process must be ongoing.
