2. Background Information
CBDM Asia Phase II
The whole name is the Sharing and Learning on Community Disaster Management in Asia Programme. The output objectives and deliverables are as below:
Output 1: Relevant learning about disaster management practices between China, UK and developing countries in Asia shared to strengthen national resilience through policy/institutional support for national disaster risk management and response planning.
Output 2: Exchanges of practice on community-based DRR enhanced among practitioners and communities.
Output 3: Collaborative research strengthened between research institutes in China, UK and developing countries in the Asia region.
Output 4: Information sharing and service platforms established to facilitate collaboration, learning and coordination around community based disaster risk reduction.

Theory Training of Community Disaster Risk Identification, Assessment and Mapping
Location: Hotel Conference Room
Lecturers: Liao Yongfeng from NDRCC & Zhang Wei from Hangdianhongtu Company
Notice: This training would require you to form 5 groups, 3 people in each. The preferable combination is 1 community resident, 1 volunteer and 1 official. You could elect a team leader and please make sure your team contains at least 1 person who can communicate in English.

7. 13:30-15:30 Field Training of Community Disaster Risk Identification, Assessment and Mapping
Location: Ward 14 Community & Hotel Conference Room
Lecturers: Liao Yongfeng from NDRCC & Zhang Wei from Hangdianhongtu Company
Notice: In the training of afternoon we will go to the Ward 14 Community and conduct field survey using the theoretical knowledge taught in the morning. Then we will return to the hotel to make the risk map. The Chinese experts would give instructions and remarks afterwards.

Notice: This training only requires the operator of the APP and Website to attend. While others could use the time to organize your thought of giving feedback to this training or raise questions to lecturers about what you are interested.

There might be rain for these 2 days and we suggest you make proper preparations.
