4 Funding general ABE Programs (using Dept. of ESE Funds - CALC): - Cambridge Community Learning Center, - Somerville Center for Adult Learning Experiences (SCALE).

5 Funding ABE classes through CONNECT: - CONNECT is a partnership of six organizations co-located in Chelsea, MA. - Centro Latino and Bunker Hill Community College offer the ABE classes at CONNECT. - Some of the courses offer contextualized curriculum.

6 Connected ABE providers to employers to better align curriculum with the needs of businesses.

7 Participating in meetings regarding Metro North ABE provider out-stationing at the career centers.

8 Participated in Metro North College and Career Partnership (MNCCP) Steering Committee (ended June 2013).

9 Developing an ABE Transitions to College and Careers (ABETCC) Committee.

10 Met with community based organizations to discuss promoting ABE training in the workplace and reached out to employers.

11 Funding Alternative High School Certificate programs (using Youth Funding).

13 Will assist with organizing an event(s) to educate employers on ABE training in the workplace using the Workforce Training Fund.

14 Develop a list (or database) of business representatives open to participating in ABE initiatives.
