In 1965, Congress passed a new act that led to a new wave of immigration. What happened?

Partner with a friend and write down a definition of the word “American.” Be ready to share!

While we watch it, let’s think about: How have immigrants helped define the word “American”? Is there anyone in this video who was not an American? Why? Do you agree with the video’s definition of an “American”? Why or why not?
