1. “Library Lion” Drama Exercise
Stage 1 outcome: DRAS1.1: Takes on roles in drama to explore familiar and imagined situations.

2. Let’s get into groups of 4
There are 4 different roles for this scene.
Discuss with your teammates in a respectable manner and decide which role each team member will take.
1) The Lion
2) Miss Merriweather
3) Student in the library
4) The storytelling teacher

3. Let’s pick out the scene!
Remember you can choose any scene from the book to act out- Talk among your teammates and let the teacher know before writing your short script.
Or you can also create a new scene to add into the book. Be as creative as you like!!!

4. Writing time!!!
In your writing books, write a short script which includes short dialogues (what your character wants to say).
Your script might look something like this:
Lion: Roooooaaaaah, I love the library
Miss Merriweather: Sssshhhh, if you want to
stay, you’ll have to keep quiet!
REMEMBER EACH CHARACTER SHOULD SAY AT LEAST 3 LINES EACH!
