Slovak highest mountains – High Tatras with nice nature are situated only 100 km away from Košice (flight connection). Hotel ACADEMIA and Lecture Hall in Stará Lesná are equipped with all facilities for organising of small and medium conferences. Stará Lesná is reachable by train from Košice via Poprad and Starý Smokovec or Tatranska Lomnica. We suggest to organise bus transport from Poprad to Stará Lesná.

We will gladly welcome you in the restaurant with an excellent kitchen ready to fulfill the tastes of every guest. You can choose from a wide choice of traditional meals of the Slovak and international cuisine, fish specialties, exotic and vegetarian meals.

The 13th Czech and Slovak Conference on Magnetism (CSMAG'07) took place
in Košice, Slovakia, July 9th and 12th
The conference was attended by 235 scientists from 20 countries. In addition to researchers from the Slovak Republic and Czech Republic, nearly 50 % of participants came to Košice from abroad.
