Brief Intro:
Pacific Network Television is a Native Hawaiian-themed television network of nine channels that will be broadcast on their web site. PNT needs several animated logos.
The client has an idea in mind for what she wants. We will try to bring that idea to life, as well as create fresh and original alternative logo animations.
We will work as a team in an agency environment.
I will art direct.
Each student will be creating at least one logo animation every week, and through a process of elimination we will narrow our designs and share source files and animations across the class.
In the end we will choose the final designs as a group and present our best work to the client.

6. :: Final Project Logo Design(s) for Pacific Network Television
Timeline:
Monday, March 21st – Informal introduction to the project.
Homework: work on sketching, storyboarding, and creating some test animations over spring break.
Monday, April 2nd – Formal Introduction to the project. Provide for the students:
A project brief will be provided (outlining all goals/objectives/technical parameters/etc)
All necessary digital assets will be provided by he client
Visuals for potential design directions (existing examples, any sketches or new ideas, etc.) will be talked about.
Wednesday, April 11th – 1st drafts due.
We will have an informal critique on this day to look at the 1st round of designs
Wednesday, April 18th – 2nd drafts due.
We will have an informal critique on this day to look at the 2nd round of designs
Wednesday, April 25th – Project is due.
We will have a formal critique on this day to look at the final designs.

Look at existing logo animations that you see on TV
What effects/techniques are they doing?
How long are they?
OPTIONAL: Sketch your ideas on paper and assemble your thoughts in a storyboard format
Post your storyboards/sketches on your class web page.
OPTIONAL: Do some test animations in After Effects
Consider what type of effects that you may have in mind. Do your own research into how to do this in After Effects.
NOTE: you will not be receiving the final digital assets until after spring break, so any tests that you do with need to include your own test graphics.
