The Greeks arrived in the 8th century B.C. Why did they arrive to the IberianPeninsula? They arrived to the Iberian Peninsula because they were looking for metals (comercial interests). Where did they come from? The Greeks came from Greece. Name some important colonies in the Iberian Peninsula Greeks colonies :Rhode (Rosas), Emporion (Ampurias). What did they bring / introduce totheIberianPeninsula? They introduced new products ,writing and coins.

The Carthaginians arrived duringthe 7th century B.C. Why did they arrive to the IberianPeninsula? They arrived to trade some goods as silver, salt, fish,…with the Celts and Iberians. Where did they come from? Carthaginians came from North Africa. Name some important colonies :CarthagoNova (Cartagena), Ebussus (Ibiza) and Saguntum (Sagunto). What did they bring / introduce to the Iberian Peninsula? The Carthaginians introduced wine and olive oil.

Phoenicians came from Asia. Name some important colonies in the IberianPeninsula? Phoeniciascolonies: Abdera, Malaca. What did theybring/introduce in the IberianPeninsula? Phoenicians introduced the use of iron amd the Potter’s wheel.
