The Beatles Introduction
The Beatles were one of the most famous and influential English rock band of all time formed in In the first few years the band members included Pete Best and Stuart Sutcliffe but ultimately the band gamed fame with John Lennon ,Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison. They were also called as the “Fab Four” and by 1964 had reached the international stardom leading the way for British bands to enter and dominate the U.S market in what was called the “British Invasion. The band became so famous with their mix of 50s rock, pop, psychedelic and even Indian music. The Beatles broke up in 1970 but left their undeniable mark on the music industry. The Beatles

Timeline March Paul Mc Cartney joins Quarrymen ,a group founded by John Lennon. February 1958 George Harrison becomes the lead guitarist for the Quarrymen. January 1960 Lennon’s friend Stuart Sutcliffe joins the band on bass and suggests the name “Beatles”. August 1962 The Beatles replaced drummer Pete Best with Ringo Starr. January 1963 The Beatles got their first no.1 single with “Please Please Me” and was released that March. November 1968 The Beatles released the double LP “The Beatles” which comes to be known as the white album because of its cover. September 1969 Lennon tells the rest of the band that he is leaving the group but agrees not to publicly announce it until after “Abbey Road” is released. April 1970 Paul Mc Cartney announces his departure from the band the same month his solo album was released.
