2. Start your mail program…using your Piedmont Lions email address…in this case by using Windows Live…

3. Access Mail after you have signed in…

4. Select New to begin a new email message…

5. Address the email to the recipient…in this case…gbagwell0731@lions

6. Select Attach from the Mail menu…

7. Select File from the drop down menu…

8. Migrate to the folder where the first file is stored, in this case Original Document and select the filename…

9. Once the file is selected, choose Open to complete the selection…

10. The filename will be displayed just below the Subject line…

11. Repeat the process for the Data Source file…if you used the Mail Merge Wizard in Microsoft Word to complete the mail merge the file will be in the .mdb format and stored in the My Data Sources folder inside the My Documents folder…

12. However…depending on your mail program…the file may be considered a security risk, and transmission will be denied…
In this case you must use another mail program…or create the Data Source using Microsoft Excel before you begin the Mail Merge Wizard…

13. Repeat the attachment process for the Excel file if you chose that option before starting the Mail Merge Wizard…

14. The Data Source filename will appear adjacent to the Original Document filename just below the Subject line…

15. Once both files have been ‘attached’ fill in the ‘Subject’ field with a statement that identifies the Assighnment and includes your name…

16. After this is complete you may send the file…

17. …and exit the mail program…
