9 Coach Requirements Hiring Paperwork Background Check
Head Coaches- CPR/AED certification (offered through our department) Club Sport Coaches Meeting Obtain a Dragon Card (If Club uses University Facilities) Cost of $20 dollars to Club or Coach

10 Participant Eligibility
Currently enrolled Drexel students regardless of race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, or ability Students may participate while on co-op Alumni & Rec Center members are ineligible Faculty & Staff are ineligible Must complete all participant forms

11 Participant Forms Participation Agreement on Dragon Link
Driver Agreement if individual will be driving Athletic Training System Forms Health Questionnaire (new athlete) or returning athlete form Concussion Addendum HIPPA Release Physical (If required by sport)

12 Facility Scheduling All scheduling will be done through a Dragon Link form Only officers are allowed to request space

13 Cancelling Space Email Clubsports@Drexel.edu & Clubatc@Drexel.edu
Clubs must notify at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled game, practice or reservation (or by 2PM Friday for Weekend events) 1 No Show- Warning 2 No Shows- Lose of practice space for next week 3 No Shows- Lose of practice space for 5 weeks Example: If end of Fall Term and 3 No shows occur Club will not be allowed to practice until Week 6 of Winter Term.

14 Administrative Compliance Score
Used to determine how well a Club is meeting or exceeding the standard set forth by the Club Sport Department Not a comparison of Clubs vs one another Help E-Board determine funding for the following allocation year

15 Travel Procedures 15 passenger vans are not allowed by the University
Coaches must drive separate or be passengers, cannot drive team members Only Club participants are allowed to travel with team Clubs should not drive between the hours of 12Am-6Am. Can leave before 6AM with approval of Club Sport Coordinator Individuals should take breaks from driving every 3 hours

16 Conduct Coaches will keep his/her interactions with the team at a professional level Coaches will work cooperatively with the Club Sport Office to ensure enforcement of policies and procedures outlined in the Club Sport Manual Coaches will allow student leaders to operate the Club functions without interfering, Coaches may offer guidance or advice, but they are not to be the primary decision makers for the organization Coaches will promote good sportsmanship both in practice and competition

17 Conduct Coaches are prohibited from drinking, using drugs or from romantic relationships with the team. This is a zero tolerance policy. If a coach is found to have broken this policy they will immediately lose their coach status and be banned from coaching for Drexel Club Sports in the future.

18 Purchasing and Finances
All purchasing and finances must go through the Club Sport Office Only Officers are allowed to submit Purchase Requests Coaches should not pay for items out of pocket for reimbursement Student officers have the final decision on if items are to be purchased for a Club

19 Athletic Trainers Athletic Trainers will be on site or campus for practices & home events They are medical professionals and have the final authority on if an athlete is healthy enough to participate If you notice a player has sustained an injury please refer them immediately to the Athletic Trainers

20 Philosophy of Safety Athletic Trainers Coaching Presence
Teach and ensure proper technique CPR/ AED Certifications Safety Officers 2 required at every practice Site Supervisors Extension of the department Ensure individual members have forms filled out

If an incident of bias occurs please report it to a Club Sport professional staff member All Coaches are mandatory reporters OED will investigate the decision and determine any penalties or outcomes to keep our practices, games and facilities open and welcoming for all persons More information at Drexel.edu/oed
