Representative Example of a Patient With High Coronary Calcification A 65-year-old male with atypical chest pain. (A) Coronary CTA shows severe calcification of the left anterior descending artery (LAD) with a total AS of 739. (B) Magnified view of coronary CTA showing 70% to 90% stenosis of the LAD and borderline stenosis of the first diagonal branch. (C) Computational FFRCT analysis indicates that the LAD lesions are not hemodynamically significant, with FFRCT in the LAD of 0.87 and in the diagonal branch, (D) Quantitative coronary angiography demonstrates maximal stenosis of 52% in the first diagonal branch (red arrow). The stenosis was not hemodynamically significant, with FFR in the LAD of 0.84 and in the diagonal branch, All coronary CTA, invasive angiography, FFR, and FFRCT readings were performed in a blinded fashion. Abbreviations as in Figures 1 and 2. Bjarne L. Nørgaard et al. JIMG 2015;8: 2015 American College of Cardiology Foundation
