The project consists on a remodelling carried out in the Molinón Football Stadium in several of its spaces.
( new official store, press room, TV sets and changing rooms).
Each of this spaces requires specific needs which have been solved with different PLACO® systems.

STRANDBADKIRCHBICHL is a visionary design project involving the construction of a new office building in a remote mountain region of Austria, with a design which reflected the crashing waves coming in from the nearby beach. Great technical skill and knowledge of interior systems was required in order to optimize lighting, acoustics and sound absorption within a very complex curved shaped structure which would not naturally provide this level of performance.
This presentation will also be used on the book and on the website to present your project.

TV sets have been solved with a good combination between our Rigitone® and Gyptone® ceilings.
It has been used Rigitone® 8/18 model on walls and Gyptone® Big Line 6 model in ceilings.
The result is rooms with good aesthetics qualities and acoustic comfort.

Press room has been solved with Habito Systems to hang the television monitors without problems.

In other ceilings has been used 4PRO plasterboard due to the importance of plasterboard finishing when it is exposed to indirect lights.

In other areas of the Molinón Stadium have been used moisture plasterboard due to the demands on wetness.

During the official store remodelling, it has been necessary to use ceramic Placostic® to cover the old surfaces with ceramic tiles.

. The use of different Placo® solutions in the same spaces and installed by same installer.

Acoustics and light are the dominating elements in this project. The challenge was to allow maximal use of natural daylight using an unusually large funnel and integrating artificial lighting to complement natural light. The design however also had to provide an excellent level of acoustic performance in a challenging large open plan structure with high windowed ceilings. In addition to a combination of acoustics, sound absorption and light, there was particular emphasis on architecture and functionality through to the final finishing coating (Q4 surface quality) in order to meet the rigorous project standards.
