Reason # 3 – The cross of Christ presents atonement
Christ’s death was not a death to end His life, but a death to begin ours.
• It was a death of atonement.
• Atonement means somebody pays the price for somebody else.
• Through the death of Christ, we can now have atonement with God.

Three great principles of the cross:
1. Man was sinful.
2. Man’s sins had to be paid for.
3. Christ paid the price for us.
