To understand Revelation…
… we need to know the ‘code’.
Angel showed John a river.
As Eden had river to nourish...
*…the New Jerusalem has one.
*Ezekeil prophesied river bringing
abundant life to the Dead Sea.
*’Code’ for river is in John 4:14 to
woman at the well…

“Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life”
From the throne of God =
Gracious gift from God!
Water “clear as crystal” = purity!
Architecture unclear–unless it’s symbolic!
Tree of Life = complete undoing the curse!
River and Tree bring food and healing…

4. Jesus Among His People Forever – Rev. 22: 1-21
…Unending blessing for the redeemed!
The curse came in the garden, in the city no more curse.
7th of seven things NOT in eternity: Curse, sea, death, mourning, crying, pain, & night (21:1,4,25)
Three great blessings in eternity:
1. His servants will serve him. Worship, perfect service.
2. They will see His face. Immediate divine presence.
3. His name on their foreheads. God owns and protects.

No night is end of darkness and sin. Light of the world!
Citizens of the city will reign for ever and ever.
Vision fades, back to real world on Patmos.
In conclusion, we hear various voices (no more visions):
Jesus emphasizes he is coming soon. (No one knows when!)
Jesus promises ‘special blessing’ to all who ”keep the words.”
Angel reminds ‘don’t worship anyone/thing but God’
Theme of whole book in 1:7, “Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him.”

See Jesus -the truth: more than troubles.
See Jesus –all his blessings.
“The spirit and the bride say come…” = evangelism. Invite others to come and worship in the time you have.
John warns –don’t mess with Scripture, + or -!
Moses: “Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you” (Deut. 4:2).

7. Jesus Among His People Forever – Rev. 22: 1-21
Jesus concludes, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Ultimate solution to every problem= salvation and return of LORD Jesus!
LORD Jesus is among his people AND coming soon!
That means the end of sin forever, everything is being made new! Grace to you from Jesus!
