2 You can make many types of lines
Line is one of the most basic elements in art You can make many types of lines Vertical Curved Horizontal Zig-zag Diagonal Jagged lines

3 Geometrical lines

4 Curved Lines Curved lines give off a sense of energy. Soft curves give a softening effect on the composition. Sharp lines, however, may suggest violence or turmoil.

5 Jagged Lines Jagged lines suggest uncertainty or anger.

6 Zig-Zag Lines These are diagonal lines that join at points. They give off a feeling of excitement and movement. The change of direction also creates a feeling of confusion. They can imply many things as they break down or ascend up.

7 Horizontal Lines These lines run from left to right. Horizontal lines are soft and feminine, thus making one feel at peace. In the landscape above, the lines give you a sense of space.

8 These lines give off a sense of masculinity and height.
Vertical Lines These lines give off a sense of masculinity and height.

9 Thin Lines These fragile, nimbly lines seem easy to break or push over. On the other hand, thin lines give us a feeling of elegance. They are delicate.

10 Thick Lines Thick lines appear hard to knock over. They give off a feeling of strength and emphasises nearby elements. These lines are bold and sort of makes a statement on its own.

11 Diagonal Lines Diagonal lines shows movement. Things that stand in a diagonal position look unstable. In the image above, the diagonal lines conveys a feeling of motion.

12 Contour Lines A single line used to depict the silhouette of a figure or an object.

13 Irregular Lines These lines may give the viewer a feeling of negativity.

14 Gesture Lines These lines are full of energy and are used to depict the movements of a moving figure.

15 Cross-hatching lines This can be achieved when one creates lines that intersect each other diagonally, vertically or horizontally in order to create shadings.

16 Short lines Short lines like the ones shown above suggests agitation and hurry.

17 Circular lines These give off a feeling of perfection and completeness.

18 Implied lines These lines may not have been drawn in, but they may be easily identified within the composition.
