Why would it be difficult for a person living on the streets to escape poverty? Why do you think rates of addiction are higher among people living in poverty?

Maslow’s hierarchy of needs
Poverty and inequality are present in all nations of the world, even in ones considered rich or DEVELOPED (like Ireland!) Poverty is more than simply a lack of MONEY; it is a lack of OPPORTUNITY.

For after break… If you were to write to the Irish government to suggest some ways they could combat poverty, what would you suggest? Come up with two or three possible solutions/ways.
