Cenaculo- The theatrical presentation of passion of the Christ.
Moro-moro/comedia- relates to Christian and Muslim conflict.
Zarzuela- a Philippine version of Spanish light operetta.
Duplo & Karagatans- Poetic Debate.

3. Carillo- a shadow drama is usually shown after harvest.
Sanghiyang-  Sanghiyang used to be a pagan ancestral worship but was later imbued with Christian connotations and biblical justification
Subli-  is a folkdance in the Philippines.
Turumba & Pasyon- The Turumba of Laguna exemplify the syncretism of folk religion and Catholicism.

4. Dramatic Interpretation
Material may be published or unpublished but must be drawn from a play.
This material may be drawn from stage, screen or radio.

5. Rules in Dramatic Interpretation
Selections are to be dramatic in nature
Selections must be from published, printed material of plays, novels, short stories, and poems
Must be memorized
Must be within time (ten minutes is normal, although some areas vary)
An introduction is required (names author, title, gives any necessary information, and sets the tone) and given after a minute or so of the piece has been delivered, at a natural break-point

6. No props or costumes
All pops, or character transitions, are to be smooth, quick, and fluid
Interpretation is most of what you will be ranked by, so know the plot, the characters, the theme, EVERYTHING
All gestures, stances, facials, vocals/intonations need to support that character (and needs to be unique to that particular character), help tell story, and be clear
Diction is important
No moving-you must stand in one place, but are allowed to change stance for different characters
Eye contact is a must

7. Chamber Theater
 is a method of adapting literary works to the stage using a maximal amount of the work's original text and often minimal and suggestive settings.
 In Chamber Theater, narration is included in the performed text and the narrator might be played by multiple actors.

Introduced "Chamber Theater" to his oral interpretation classes at Northwest University in 1947.
