Surah Ad-Dhuha In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness And (by) the night when it covers with darkness, Your Lord has not taken leave of you (Muhammad), nor has He detested (you). And the Hereafter is better for you than the first (life) And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. Did He not find you an orphan and give (you) refuge? And He found you lost and guided (you), And He found you poor and made (you) self-sufficient.

So as for the orphan, do not oppress (him).
And as for the petitioner, do not repel (him). But as for the favour of your Lord, report (it).

Lessons from Surah Ad-Dhuha
Revelation that was not brought down for a certain period of time was not a sign that Allah s.w.t. was angry with Muhammad s.a.w. as what was perceived by the kafirs Allah s.w.t. will never leave his slaves alone We are forbidden to insult the orphans and rebuke those who beg We should be thankful for any pleasures that Allah s.w.t. has provided

Reason Behind The Revelation
Ayah 1-3: Narrated by Imam Bukhari and Muslim and others where Rasulullah s.a.w. was feeling unwell that he could not perform the night prayers for one or two nights. A lady approached saying, "Oh Muhammad, I saw your syaitan (she actually meant angel Jibril) has left you." Hence Allah revealed ayah 1-3 affirming that Allah s.w.t. has neither left Muhammad s.a.w. nor despise him. Ayah 5: Ibnu Abbas narrated that the fifth ayah was revealed about how happy Rasulullah s.a.w. was when Allah showed him by one by one, the different countries that will be conquered. (Hadith narrated by Hakim, Baihaqi and Thabrani)
