Real Life Problems – Calculator – Treasure Trail
Individual students (or pairs) can start the trail at any question poster. Once they have calculated the answer they should then find the poster that has that answer at the top. Students go from one question to the next until they have completed the full circular trail. Students should record the letters of the questions they have completed. (Clear plastic wallets around your classroom make it quick and easy to display posters.)

Printing To print full page posters - Click:
File > Print. Enter ‘4-20’ in ‘Slides:’ To print half-size posters - File > Print. Select ‘Full Page Slides’, then ‘2 Slides’.

Each cake needs 126 grams of flour. How many 1 Kg bags of flour does the baker need?

£350 B Dominic has 2.5 Kg of flour to make pizzas.
Each pizza takes 328 g of flour. How many grams of flour does Dominic have after he has made as many pizzas as possible?

72 children pay to go to the theatre. An adult’s ticket costs £5.50. A children’s ticket costs £2.50. How much revenue does the theatre earn?

They buy 45 carrots that weigh 112 g each. The also buy onions that weigh 65 g each. How many onions do they need to buy?
