Fig 1 Analysis of ODC gene polymorphism. Genomic DNA isolated from whole blood was subjected to PCR amplification using ODC intron specific primers. The 546bp DNA fragments obtained by nested PCR were digested with PstI and analyzed by agarose gel electrophoresis. Undigested DNA (−lanes); PstI digested (+ lanes). The sizes of the undigested nested fragment (546bp), and the 2 fragments (351bp and 196bp) produced upon PstI digestion (of the A allele in homozygous AA and heterozygous AG individuals) are shown on the left.
