I have been learning Latex and all about writing technical papers.
I am currently working touching up a first draft.
I plan on adding new information a I progress with current tests.

4. Two template updating
Instead of updating with only one template for cross correlation, I use two.
Method
Have one main template, and one temporary template.
If then main template returns a low correlation value, then use the temporary template.
Temporary template is always updated every x frames.
Main template is only updated with a very high confidence value and not very often.

5. Two template updating cont.
Benefits:
The main template acts as a fail safe, always storing the original image.
The secondary template acts as a more dynamic way of updating positions.
If there are temporary changes in a persons appearance, the secondary template will compensate and then the main template will take back over when the scene returns to normal.
