RR (represent rate) ratios comparing the late period 2000 to 2005 versus the early period 1988 to 1993 in subgroups defined above when RR is less than 1, the rate of surgical operations decreased from the early to the late period; when RR is greater than 1 the rate of surgical operations increased from the early to the late period. A confidence interval (CI) that crosses 1 is not statistically significant at p less than 0.05.
