5. Warm temperate oceanic climates
Warm temperate climates of the world are located along the western edges of landmasses
They are found between 30 and 40 north and south of the equator
They are also known as Mediterranean climates

Summers are generally dry, with some drought

Adapted to environment  have thick bark and are widely spaced

Much of the woodland as been cleared for agriculture, the increase in animals has led to overgrazing
New crops introduced  oranges, lemons and grapefruit
Irrigation schemes have been introduced to overcome drought problems
Development of a huge tourism industry especially in Spain, while it has brought wealth to the region it has also damaged the environment
