Factorising – Single Bracket – Without Indices – 3 Stars
In this activity, 2 teams compete to place 3 stars in a row on the game board. Click/Touch a grid square to go to the corresponding question. Click the ‘Answer’ box for the answer and again to return to the game board. Click the colour of the team to place a star in that square. This game has sound!
2
This game is flexible and can be run in a variety of ways:
Teams could choose questions individually, with the opportunity for the other team to ‘steal’ if their answer is incorrect. A whole team may complete a question with one student being chosen to provide an answer. Individual students from each team may compete simultaneously for a quickest answer. Students on different teams can be paired. The teacher can then assess which majority of a team got their answer correct fastest (using mini-whiteboards).
