Monday 3rd June at 8. 45 am. Children to be at school by 8
Monday 3rd June at 8.45 am. Children to be at school by 8.15 for registers, toilet stop and loading luggage on to coach. DEPARTURE

Children should bring with them a packed lunch to eat at the service station during scheduled stops.
Only water to be drunk on the coach. NO chewing gum. Coach to be kept tidy. Outward Journey

We get a Wightlink ferry to the island which takes approximately 45 minutes from Portsmouth to Fishbourne. And from there it is a 15 minute journey to Little Canada. FERRY CROSSING

ARRIVAL AT THE CENTRE The children will be shown to their accommodation which, this year, is in log cabins sleeping 8 or 10. There will be a tour of the site, fire drill and introductions to staff. There is no need for the children to bring bedding.

We have a varied activity programme running throughout the week for example: kayaking, abseiling, climbing, problem solving, beach visit and The Needles. We will endeavour to send photos back to school for Mrs Reade to share. ACTIVITIES

Medications, including paracetamol, hay fever tablets/medicine, should be labelled with child’s name and dosage and packed in hand luggage. This will need to be given to staff on arrival at the centre. Staff will then supervise and monitor the taking of medicines. If we keep any medication in school for your child we will take this with us. If there are any changes to the information on the medical forms please tell a member of staff on the morning of departure. If your child suffers from travel sickness please ensure they have sufficient tablets for 2 excursions and the return journey. Inhalers to be carried with the child at all times. MEDICATION

You should have received a kit list which details what to bring. It would be useful to also pack a black bag for wet, dirty clothes at the end of the week. Check the weather forecast for the island. Long sleeves and trousers are required for some activities. Sun cream, hat/cap and insect repellent. Waterproof coat. Not your best clothes – they may get very wet/dirty. Pupils are responsible for their own belongings. They must be able to carry their own bag. All meals are included but there will be the opportunity to buy treats and souvenirs at the PGL shop and at the gift and sweet shop at the Needles Pleasure Park. Pocket money is at your discretion and pupils will be in charge of their own money. If you wish you can put pocket money in envelopes for each day clearly labelled with the child’s name for staff to distribute accordingly. POCKET MONEY

We leave at 1.15 on Friday 7th June with an ETA of 7.30pm back in Codsall. As always this is an estimate and we will keep you informed of significant changes via the parent text messaging system. The children will have lunch before we leave the centre but may wish to purchase items/ snacks on the return journey. RETURN JOURNEY
