3 So what is the Forest Adventure?
This is a really new residential trip that is bespoke to Poulner. The two day adventure will start and end at school. It will be a hike out to Blunts Barn, teambuilding activities during the days and evening and then a hike back to school. The adventure has been developed in conjunction with Colin and Lyndsay Andrews who head up Blunts Barn and with the Poulner Scout leaders. The adventure will be 20% challenge and 80% achievable!

4 Day 1- Monday 1st July 2019 Children to arrive at school for 8.50am registration. am Checking day sacks and footwear, waterproofs and water (overnight sleeping bags, clothes and washbag will be transported directly to Blunts Barn by the school). Children will be split into 5 walking groups, each group will be led by a Scout leader and members of staff. The children will walk five different routes to a lunchtime meeting point. After lunch the children will play some games and also receive some map work and orienteering tuition. Once the groups arrive at Blunts Barn they will have to work in a group to put up their tents! Dinner will be served and the children will play wide games and of course have a traditional camp fire before bed!

5 Day 2- Tuesday 2nd July 2019 Children will get up and have breakfast
Pack away own belongings, prepare and check day sacks and pack away tents Children will be split back into 5 walking groups, and begin the walk back, with children leading the map and orienteering work. They will walk a different route back. Children will all meet at the lunchtime meeting point. After lunch the children will play some more games and reflect on their adventure. Aim to arrive back at school by 4.00pm
