1 Electronic Medicines Prescribing Assessment Package
Introduction: May know me from WIC-Ed courses Practice Nurses background / WIC Qualified as NMP in 2006 The Electronic Medicines Prescribing Assessment Package has now been purchased by the Nottinghamshire Health and Social Care Community Workforce Team and is now available for you to use. Purchased in order to help Prof development of prescribers Not mandatory … as yet… Has anyone used it yet? Gill Beardmore Practice Development Nurse WIC-Ed / Workforce Development

4 Background Led by Nottinghamshire Health and Social Care Community Workforce Team (NHSCCWT) Health Community group set up across all 5 organisations Funded by Flexible LBR monies To avoid further development costs the Leicestershire and Rutland Community modules were purchased 3 year licence purchased (started 2011) Nottinghamshire Health and Social Care Community Workforce Team (NHSCCWT) NUH, Notts Health Care Trust, CityCare, County Health partnership, Sherwood Forest Hospitals Open to GP practices Leicestershire & Rutland – already developed - already using it so development costs kept down

5 NHSCCWT To keep costs down the NHSCCWT is the owner of the licence
Quarterly activity reports will be provided to the NHSCCWT CityCare will receive report from the NHSCCWT and will input onto staff members training records Nottinghamshire Health and Social Care Community Workforce Team (NHSCCWT) – keeps costs down – 1 licence only

7 Can access via the intranet – need to get onto the WFD website – click the button

8 Pr via internet – by typing web address of WFD website into browser

9 Once into web site – home page – click on ‘e-learning’

10 That takes you to e-learning page – where all other e-learning modules can be accessed
This time click on nonmed prescribing

11 Takes you to non med prescribing page – describes the package
Need to click on link to web site – triad… Note username

12 If you have a problem and this doesn't take you to the learning package, you will need to scroll down this page to the bottom to access what to do next. It is likely that IT will need to help if this is the case Report problems to WFD team

13 Assuming all OK – after clicking on the link – a window asking for username & password will appear

14 How to access... Username: NottsWorkforce Password: peas2 Case sensitive.... Username & password – all the same Case sensitive

15 Finally, should get to a screen like this…

16 Which will take you into the system’s home screen

18 Basic features Enter personal details
No personal record kept within system itself Report generated & sent to WFD Personal learning record then updated Personal details – including Nat ins number – unique identifier Unlike the other e-learning packages, there’s no record of your learning held within the system But a report is generated from the results of everyone who has attempted modules & this is sent to WFD The results are then entered onto your personal learning record

No time limit Feedback given Print certificate for own records Feedback after every question

20 These are the modules Mental health for mental health nurses I’ve done 2 modules – take about an hour each Some questions longer than others – can break & come back to it – progress bar shows how far into the module you are
