1. Fig. 4. Effect of CM from hASCs and melatonin-treated hASCs on the migration of HK-2 cells. HK-2 cells were cultured to 100% confluence after which a linear scratch was made and then cells were rinsed and exposed to either Media, NT-hASCs-CM, or Mel-hASCs-CM. After 18 h, cells were visualized, photographed, and the number of cells that had migrated in the denuded area was quantified, as described in materials and methods. The experiment was conducted for each of the 3 different donor hASCs preparations. Photos (A) are shown from 1 representative example, and the graph (B) reveals results from 3 hASCs preparations: Media: 95% CI of the mean: 278–315 (n = 22); NT-hASCs-CM: 95% CI of the mean: 409–430 (n = 61); Mel-hASC-CM: 95% CI of the mean: 508–537 (n = 50). One-way ANOVA followed by Bonferroni's post hoc multiple comparisons test were conducted. Each P value was adjusted to account for multiple comparisons.
