Western blotting for GluR1. The various GluR1 constructs, at all subunit ratios used, were transfected in parallel in HEK293 cells, and membrane proteins were harvested. Western blots for GluR1 revealed a single band of ∼100 kDa in each case (inset). Normalized immunoreactivity (mean ± SD; n = 3) did not differ significantly among subunit combinations (p = 0.896; repeated-measures ANOVA). James R. Brorson et al. J.
