1. Major Capital Projects:
Major Capital Projects are for new construction, major renovations and/or additions that are in excess of $1,000,000
These projects are submitted to EECD in June of each year. EECD applies the quadruple bottom line matrix to all projects. The list of all school district’s scored projects are given to government for Major Capital project selection
AESD has had 4 new schools built in the past 12 years; Havelock, Northrop Frye, Riverview East and Moncton High School
HTHS has been undergoing a Mid-Life renovation for the past three years as a major capital project
The DEC has undertaken several Policy 409 School Sustainability reviews on schools seeking community input for school closures, consolidations and other options as part of long term planning
