9 How do you think your house is wired?

10 You and your family arrive at your summer cottage, a quaint cabin, situated at the edge of a beautiful lake. As you pile out of your car, you are greeted by the superintendent responsible for taking care of all the cabins in the area. The neighbors call her Ms. Fix-It. Ms. Fix-It tells you that everything in your cottage is in working order. However, when she was working on some electrical wiring, she must have made a mistake or two. The kitchen light must remain on in order to keep the refrigerator going. In order to turn the television on, the fan must be on. And the garbage disposal will work only when the oven is on!  Wiring Detective

11 Lucky for your family you just finished studying electrical wiring in science class! You understand what the wiring problem is and you want to explain the problem to your family. You have two options of how to explain the problem to your family. Option 1: Write two paragraphs (each at least 5-7 sentences long). In the first paragraph explain how the cottage is currently wired. In the second paragraph explain what alterations need to be made to the wiring in order for everything to function properly. Option 2: Draw two diagrams. The first diagram should show the current wiring of the cottage. Make sure to draw clear pictures to accurately represent what you are drawing. Then draw a second diagram with the alternatives that need to be made to the wiring in order for everything to function properly.
