Even and Odd Rules of Operations Game: double dice
6
Even & Odd Outcomes Game
To Play… Use a sheet of scratch paper, the double dice, a pencil, find a partner. Use the data sheet to tally how many even and odd sums come up when you roll the double dice 10 times.
7
Even & Odd Outcomes Knowing the even and odd rules of computation helps students to reason mathematically. There are only 4 outcomes when adding: even + even = even (2 + 4 = 6) even + odd = odd (2 + 3 = 5) odd + even = odd (5 + 2 = 7) odd + odd = even (3 + 5 = 8)
8
The Game of Even and Odd Outcomes for Multiplication
There are only 4 outcomes when you multiply numbers: even x even = even (4 x 2 = 8) even x odd = even (6 x 3 = 18) odd x even = even (5 x 4 = 20) odd x odd = odd (3 x 5 = 15)
