Working to eliminate duplication of systemwide accounts… CCCID – ASX2456 passed to the college to help eliminate local duplicates as well.

What does this mean for colleges?
Choice - colleges may: Choose to keep their existing CCCApply. Xap keeps up to date through the open source project governed by the steering committee. Move to a hosted instance of OpenCCCApply Develop custom OpenCCCApply based applications or have more choices as commercial SIS vendors may make available the OpenCCCApply open source application to their college student web portals.

What does this mean for colleges?
A Streamlined Transition - minimize the affect on IT provide the same download file interface to the college's SIS as currently exists. Cost Savings & Better Service– Competing alternatives based on governed open source and a common architecture will drive lower costs and better service. Hosted instance of OpenCCCApply through the CCC Technology Center will lower costs to the colleges. Vendors are welcome to offer the colleges competing offerings based on the governed open source application and common SOA architecture.
