14 Standards-Based Progress Reporting
Standards-based progress reporting is a method that allows teachers, students, and families to clearly communicate specific areas of strength and need. It gives clear and concise answers to students’ questions, “What have I learned? What do I need to improve?”

15 What is Standards-Based Progress Monitoring?
An indicator of students’ progress toward learning a specific concept as outlined in the Virginia Standards of Learning. Supported by our standards- based instruction and assessment throughout the entire school day.

16 Why the change? To provide specific feedback of student progress.
To support student ownership of learning in the environment. To motivate students intrinsically to increase their understanding and application of concepts.
