Roundtable – March 20, 2014 DHMC

NIH salary cap has gone up to $181,500 effective January 12, 2014 Grant application project titles will no longer be truncated in eRA system to the previous 81 character limit. You now have up to 200 characters! Please Note: When submitting a Revision application, applicants must use the exact project title as displayed in Commons.

NIH requires RPPR module for ( SNAP), fellowship and multi-year funded awards. This change went into effect January 31, 2014. Non-SNAP progress reports are now able to be submitted using the RPPR. This is NOT mandatory at this time. Paper PHS 2590 will be accepted until NIH makes RPPR a requirement. NOT-OD-14-064 http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-14-064.html

After Memorial Day weekend upgrade the system will be able to recognize and store Greek and other scientific characters that the systems cant handle today. As a result of this upgrade, eRA systems will be able to accept Greek characters as they appear in the original scientific text submitted by grantees. For instance, Greek characters will appear in progress reports without resulting in garbled text. NOTE: Greek characters in the Project Title field are still problematic until Grants.gov is able to accept and process them. http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-14-071.html

Reviewer section in PIs Personal Profile now displays Continuous Submission information PIs can review their eligibility based on current appointed membership and/or recent substantial service. ~~~~~~ Signing Officials also have access to this information.
