40
Do you remember that old saying from grade school?
41
Say it with me!
42
First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Dawn with a baby carriage.
44
What is Marriage?
52
But how many of us realize that many people want to redefine marriage and family all together.
53
The concepts of Marriage, Family, Moms, Dads, Husbands and Wives are definitely under attack.
61
Soon you might be able to marry your goat or your dog if that’s what makes you happy.
62
Should we fight for the family or just concede to culture?
63
Should we stand for what is good, right, true and holy or sit back and let communities transgender right before our eyes?
64
Why did God establish marriage in the first place?
65
To show us a beautiful and undeniable picture of Jesus and His Church.
66
Marriage Oneness that none should separate. Faithfulness / Fidelity
Procreation / Continue Joy / Pleasure
67
What is the Biblical Model for Family?
68
H4940 משׁפּחה mish-paw-khaw' A family, that is, circle of relatives; by extension a tribe or people: - family, kindred.
69
The Scripture shows us that a family is made up of multiple generations.
70
We clearly see the pattern of one man and one woman coming together to be fruitful and multiply.
71
Genesis 2:22 The Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man.
72
Genesis 2:23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man.”
73
Genesis 2:24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
74
Genesis 2:25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.
75
So what caused or brought about the breakdown of our culture and this desire to redefine?
76
Sin!
77
Lust of the Flesh!
78
Lust of the Eyes!
79
Pride of Life!
80
Before the industrial revolution, men worked the family business and their wife and children worked along side them.
81
To put it plainly, the family was together most of the time.
82
After men were removed from the interdependence and constant pulse of the family, the role of the wife began to change.
83
Before too long, Mom left home as well and a career outside the home became more attractive and/or desirable.
84
Even public policy gave new incentives for both parents to be out of the house and have somebody else raise the children.
85
Children began to spend more time with others than they did with their own parents.
86
The values and beliefs of others began to be shared and instilled into the lives of the children instead of their parents.
87
You might be familiar with this old saying, “The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.”
88
Many of today’s millennials have very different values, beliefs and ideas than that of their parents.
89
We still need Men and Women of Valor!
