Promote the maximum local industrialisation and economic clustering of nuclear manufacturing in South Africa. Promote skills development, job creation and economic transformation through the nuclear industry in South Africa. A driver of environmental sustainability and social responsibility To facilitate coherence and to avoid duplication of effort in the development and expansion of the nuclear industry. To develop a database of local companies and their capabilities

National Treasury, 2013 Inclusive growth requires broad-based transformation to break downs structural impediments to new economic activities, deconcentrate industries dominated by few participants, accelerate the inclusion of millions of black South Africans into jobs and businesses, and return to a path of rising per capita incomes for all – National Treasury, 2017

SARPA – NIASA PARTNERSHIP
The Nuclear Industry Association of South Africa (NIASA) continues to assess its positioning with a view to continue to be relevant and agile to the energy sector developments, as well as to be sustainable A major focus is the need to strengthen the relationship SARPA and other related industry bodies/associations Better alignment with stakeholders to provide advocacy for the government’s strategic plans and the implementation of: Nuclear Energy Policy and National Energy Policy Closer working relations can produce publications and peer reviewed papers designed to offer credible knowledge to the public about energy in general and nuclear in particular
