19 Components of the ENDOF1

20 Choosing the Correct Endo Tray
For most endo and lap chole instruments, use the full-size SteriTite container and endo tray for instruments up to 16.5” inches (42 cm). For shorter instruments, try the mid-size SteriTite container. For the shortest instruments, try the half-size SteriTite container and the associated endo tray system. If a finger rest extends from the base of the instrument handle, a taller tray system and container is required. Slotted brackets are available in 2-4mm and 5-10mm, depending on the diameter of the grasper.

21 How to Choose: Find out how many instruments are in the set to determine how many levels are needed.

28 Containerizing Loaners
SteriTite containers are DIN sized and designed to be compatible with loaner and consignment tray dimensions Some custom sets can simply drop-in to the container In other cases, we need to remove the contents from the existing case lid and base

29 Containerizing Loaners
Drop-in is ideal when: Set is DIN sized Set has handles that enable the user to easily lift out of the container Inner tray of set can be removed from lid and base of the existing case

30 Containerizing Loaners
SteriTite and MediTray basket with inserts are needed when: Set is not DIN sized Set is heavy and must be broken down Base of set is too wide to drop-in Set cannot be disassembled from base To replace plastic, multi-level trays To get back to standard cycles

31 SteriTite Disposables
Chemical Indicators Tamper Evident Seals Disposable Filters Use of our disposables is part of our 510k

32 Sell the Appropriate Disposables

33 MediTray Products MediTray posts, partitions, and brackets are
designed to customize and organize trays while extending the life of surgical instruments. No other container manufacturer has the range of modular and off-the-shelf components to fully customize sets Learn the parts Provide guidance Sell value

34 Know the Components in the Kit
Brackets Silicone and metal Posts Partitions Insert Boxes Silicone Mats

35 Customization Tips Complete preferences for customization questionnaire Fill out sizing and customization chart Obtain a copy of the count sheet Take a picture of the set and label it Provide correct spelling of set name Identify the quantity of each set

36 Customization Tips Use a tape measure to aid you with sizing
Look at the existing packaging as a guide Describe the contents, include length, height, width of instrumentation For special instrumentation use your copy machine for a one to one representation Select the proper configuration such as container with layered baskets or brackets and partitions, basic sets such as endo systems and accessories including insert boxes, mats and posts Identify plaque color and size requirements – For STERRAD and V- Pro clear only

37 Using the Template Print
Instruments from the set can be placed directly on the print The print helps you: Identify the appropriate basket or tray size Configure/organize the instruments Without carrying a basket or container

38 Using the Template Print
Using the layout with brackets Using the layout without brackets still helps us help you

39 Using the Template Print
Sets are labeled with: Date Facility name Set name Size of basket(s) Quantity of sets needed

40 Utilize the Chart

41 Remember: Keep it Simple
How many instruments are in the set? How long are the handles? How deep are the handles? What is the length of the smallest and largest instruments in the set? Don’t forget to use the tools!

42 Customization and Assembly of Trays
The following pictures will demonstrate how to effectively customize trays using insert trays and by adding and removing MediTray posts and silicone brackets. QT01 in a BSKF03 prior to customization

43 Posts MediTray posts are used to elevate and position the nesting tray
Posts are also used to hold instruments such as scissors in place Posts fit into the hole pattern of Case Medical’s MediTray baskets Posts are secured in place with a nut

44 Utilize Nut Driver To Tighten
Use nut driver to secure post or a metal bracket spokes into the tray. Turn the driver clockwise to tighten. To Remove To remove a MediTray bracket or post, unscrew each pin from underside, turn counterclockwise to loosen. Remove the nut and pull out.

45 Silicone Brackets Case Medical’s silicone brackets are designed to pop into our basket’s hole pattern and fit securely in place Simply designate an area and push the silicone bracket spokes into the hole pattern

46 Silicone Bracket Removal
Silicone brackets may be removed by simply using your palms to push the bracket downward toward the tray Alternatively, silicone brackets may be removed utilizing needle-nose pliers or a nut driver and post tool Compress the spokes with needle nose pliers to remove

47 Securing Instruments Once you have customized your layout, gently place instruments into the silicone bracket Be sure to pick the correct diameter for each surgical instrument. Note: Instrument should fit securely and have very little movement within the tray

48 Stacking Trays Case Medical’s baskets are designed to be easily stacked within the sealed container. Nesting trays can be easily stacked by utilizing posts. Once customization is complete, begin by placing the nesting tray on the posts. Note: Posts should be aligned so that they can easily fit within the nesting tray hole pattern.

49 Customization Guidelines
Customization will vary depending on the customer’s needs. We hope that this tutorial effectively demonstrated basic customization of Case Medical’s line of MediTray baskets and accessories. The Case Medical team is available to problem solve as well as offer further guidance for customization.

50 Count Sheet This is an example of a typical count sheet used in a US hospital. The barcode circled below is scanned and entered into the instrument tracking computer.

51 Tracking the Set The instrument set is tracked by the label attached to the sterilization container. The barcode on the label is scanned and entered into the computer.
