Federal Riding Highlights from the 2018 BC Child Poverty Report Card In the Vancouver Centre riding, 1,990 children live in poverty: nearly one in four children. Child poverty rates for children in couple-parent families are 5% higher than the provincial rate. Children in lone-parent families are particularly vulnerable: child poverty rates are two and a half times higher for children in lone-parent families than those in couple families.
