1 Electronic Faculty Service Load Agreement (FSLA)

2 Current Steps Phase 1 – completed and to begin Spring 2012 – Train the Deans, Department Heads and AAAs on Phase 1. – AAAs will review, print and mail to faculty for signatures. – Faculty will sign and return to department – Department Head will review and sign – Dean will review and sign – Signed FSLA will be returned to Human Resources

3 Next Steps Phase 2 – Establish an electronic workflow process for all approvals to be completed through PeopleSoft (no paper) – Estimated completion and in-use Fall 2012. – Train the Deans, Department Heads, Faculty and AAAs on Phase 2. – Faculty will log into PeopleSoft and input office hours and sign their Faculty Service Load Agreement – Department Head will review and sign – Dean will review and sign – Human Resources will be able to track the FSLA through all stages and view signatures

8 Load Bank Maintenance Screen Load Banking – Balance and Pending Activity All Load Bank Balances, as of the end of Spring 2011 are loaded as Initial. Deans, Department Heads and AAAs will have View Only access.

9 Load Bank Maintenance Screen – After Running the Load Bank Process All Use activity will be processed in a First In, First out basis (after the Initial balance has been used). It will no longer be possible to bank Lab TUs and only use Lecture TUs. (Banked Lab TUs are paid out at a higher rate.)

13 Enter office Phone number, cell phone number (Optional), and at least one office hours line before saving the record. Each line has two options: Office hours or TBA Hours. Office Hours will be printed on the Faculty Term Workload sheet (Faculty Load Service Agreement). Each office hours line must be 30 minutes minimum and between 7a.m. to 10 p.m. TBA hours require a class number. Use the + sign to add a new record, or use the - sign to delete a record. 17 You can search faculty by employee ID, Academic Organization/Department, Last Name or First Name. You can view all instructors office hours; however, you can only modify your own office hours. Faculty can edit their Office Hours through the first two weeks of the semester. The system is locked the third week of the semester. 18 Faculty Office Hours You can search faculty by employee ID, Academic Organization/Department, Last Name or First Name. You can view all instructors office hours; however, you can only modify your own office hours.
