4 July 2004 P802.11j-Draft 1.2 Draft 1.2 selected by TG at Nov 03 Plenary and sent to Recirculation Ballot by WG Organizational issues in r6 resolved by moving text from Clause 17 to Annex J – thereby red-lining the entire Draft 1.0 document At chairs’ discretion, Letter Ballot issued instead of Recirculation Ballot even though actual changes limited Sheung Li, Atheros

5 July 2004 P802.11j-Draft 1.3 Draft 1.3 selected by TG at Jan 04 Interim and sent to Recirculation Ballot by WG Ballot held open due to low return rate when return requirement increased from 50% to 75%, and 46% of non-voters in ballot pool no longer voting members. Return rate used by prior LB authorized by 802 chair 1 new disapprove by a voter who has never voted before; did not raise any issues not already addressed Style guide homogeneity requested by IEEE SA; draft 1.4 issued as a Recirculation Ballot Sheung Li, Atheros

All five who attended and one who did not attend declared resolutions in r1 would conditionally change their vote to a yes – this would mean 96% approve. Of remaining three disapprove voters, only one technical comment rejected WG voted 103Y:0N:0A to authorize Sponsor Ballot Recirculation of D1.6 and voted 116Y:0N:4A for conditional Procedure 10 submission to RevCom SB recirculation expected to be completed prior to Aug 13, 04 comment resolution meeting and RevCom submission D1.5/SB Date close Jul 2, 04 88% (66) Yes No 12% ( 9) 3% ( 3) Abstain 83% return rate Sheung Li, Atheros

10 Procedure 10 Conditional RevCom Submission Requirements Status
July 2004 Procedure 10 Conditional RevCom Submission Requirements Status Properly formatted ballot cover letter issued on initial sponsor ballot, and will be reissued on recirculation Confirmation ballot pending with recirculation ballot. Conditional Proc 10 requirements mean this must close at least one week prior to actual RevCom meeting Approval percentage now at 88%, expected to be at least 96% after recirculation based on commenters’ statements No technical changes expected to be made. New valid disapprove comments pending recirc ballot. Expecting none that would not be resolved to satisfaction of existing disapprove voters WG chair will determine validity of any new disapprove comments WG chair will promptly report results of ballot to ExCom Sheung Li, Atheros
