1 Gender/Age Studies Part I: Visit the article below. After reading, draft a ¼ to 1/3 page personal response in which you identify and address societal factors regarding gender that contribute to victim blaming in sexual assault. Part II: You have been hired under contract to provide guidance for two different cities in the United States. Both of them are small metropolitan areas (think Cary/Chapel Hill/Apex/Wake Forest), but they are each facing a different demographic shift over the next fifteen years. Census data has forecasted that City A will be experiencing a sizeable increase in the percentage of elderly citizens; City B is facing the opposite, with a shrinking elderly population and a growing population of young citizens (20-35 years old). Your goal is to create two formal memos, one addressed to each of the cities in question, providing your input regarding what these coming changes will mean for the culture of the city. You should address, but are not limited to, impact on government, education, economics, healthcare, deviance/policing, and recreation. Outside of the article listed below, you must cite at least three other [unique] sources in each memo. After a brief introduction, bulletpoint memo format is acceptable.
