4. Roots
The roots are at the bottom of the plant, they go into the ground
The roots takes in water.
Roots hold the plant in the ground.

5. Stem The stem is above the roots and is like the body of the plant.
The stem takes water from the roots.
Stems carry water to other parts of the plant.

6. Leaf (Leaves) The leaf grows from the stem.
The leaf makes food for the plant.

7. Flowers The flower is at the tip of the stem.
The flower makes seeds for the plant.

8. Leaf Safari Time for a field trip.
We will take 10 minutes to go outside and collect leaves.
When we come back, everyone will make observations of their leaves.
