3. Prudential spirit of community award
If you've made a difference through volunteering over the past year, you could win $1,000 and a fabulous trip to Washington, D.C. next May by applying for a Prudential Spirit of Community award. Glynn Academy can nominate one student to compete at the local, state, and national level. Applications must be submitted online by Tuesday, November 6, 2018: Our principal will review the applications online and select the one top candidate to compete.

You may submit an entry in any of six arts areas: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film Production.

5. College planning: tip of the week
Set Up a College Admissions Account If you don’t have one already, set up an account to use for college admissions. Avoid user names that an admissions officer might find silly, inappropriate or immature.  With easy web access, Gmail  is a good choice.   You’ll often be asked for an address when you attend university presentations, college fairs and when you register to receive scholarship and college admissions information.

These are elective classes that prepare students for their next step after high school – college, beginning a career, registered apprenticeships, or the military.
Should I take CTAE classes?
Only if you want to graduate. 
4 Units are required in CTAE, Fine Arts, or Foreign Language Classes in order to graduate in Georgia.

Retail Management

3)Advanced Fashion Merchandising and Retailing
This pathway will allow students to learn about the fashion industry. Students will develop skills in fashion economics, marketing , product selection and buying, and inventory systems. People in this field must be creative, have an eye for style, and have good speaking, writing and social skills.
Come by the Terror-Tory School Store during lunch in the
Wolfe Street Building and see their hard work!!
