Setup: 80/20 Rule Witnesses to true Life and Love 60% of “mature” believers have fewer than six spiritual conversations per year.

So… Either we simply don’t want to, in which case Jesus has plenty to say to us. OR We don’t know how.

The Stories of Jesus: Pt 3
Trust the Process
5
Romans 10:14-15 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?
6
15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent
15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
8
1 Corinthians 1:5-9 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
9
8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
10
We Are Not Sent Alone We do not witness, labor, etc. alone. The Holy Spirit is already working. God is far more committed to His people knowing Him than we are; it is grace that we are invited to help!
11
The Kingdom is organic…
The soil is important (Mt 13) The seed needs planted and watched The shoots need purposeful care, time and space to grow in a healthy way.
12
The fruit is God’s power of transformation (Gal 5:16-26)
So that the seed endures and multiplies
14
The fruit of a Christlike life is meant to bring people into contact with the seed.
15
BUT… “How can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?”
