In Loving Memory of my Son, Tom
This is my son, Tom. He is from Budapest, Hungary. He was born on 19th June 1997, so he’ll be 17 this year. He is tall and well-built. He has got short brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. Tom is a student at a German-Hungarian Bilingual Technical School in Budapest. He is quite an ambitious person, he would like to go to university and become an engineer. He is a friendly and kind boy, and very loyal to his friends. He is a very good son. He’s got lot of hobbies and interests. He loves playing chess with his father, and playing computer games with his friends. He likes designing things, making models of cars and airplanes and creating machines from Lego. When he was younger, he did karate, but then he gave it up. As for sport, he likes riding a bike. Tom likes travelling. He has visited a lot of places in Hungary with us. He has also been abroad, to Austria, Slovakia and France. Tom would like to do a lot of things in his life, Tom at the age of 15 BUT... Tom is very ill and he has been in hospital since 13th January He has got acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APL). He is given chemotherapy which has a lot of side effects. Tom has been in an intensive care unit since 17th March He has problems with his lungs, his heart, his liver and his kidneys. He has difficulty breathing, so he is connected to a mechanical ventilator. He is struggling for his life. He must stay alive and survive. Would you say a little prayer for him, please? God bless us all. My son, Tom died on 7th April 2014. May he rest in peace.
