5 Discover Days at the University of Manchester:
Discover Days at Manchester offer potential applicants the chance to gain real insight into degree programmes they might study at this University. They provide a great opportunity for participants to gain first-hand experience and make informed decisions about their university choices before the start of the UCAS application process. These days are for Year 12 students. 6 Summer Schools at University of Leeds:
26-28th June: University Maths in Perspective An introduction to student life and maths at the University of Leeds.   10-12th July: Food Science summer school Students will learn how they can apply their chemistry, biology and physics knowledge to this multi-disciplinary subject, and explore the outstanding employment prospects it offers. Activities include product design, food analysis, investigating the health effects of food, and visiting a leading food and drinks manufacturer. 16-17th July: Biosciences Summer School Students will take part in a research project of their preference in our brand- new teaching laboratories; designing experiments and using advanced lab equipment to obtain results and present the findings to their peers, much like we do here at the University.

7 University of Leeds Year 12 Social Science Conference  - Wednesday 3rd July (09.30am - 2:30pm) In this interdisciplinary taster day, you can learn about all the research being done in academia, at the University of Leeds and learn first-hand from academics at the face of research, with taster sessions from across Sociology, Education, Environment, Politics, Business, and Economics etc. This day will give you the experience of a real academic conference, taking part in a whole host of interactive workshops across different subject areas, getting to learn from, ask questions to, and challenge academics and lecturers on the work they are doing. You shall also get a chance to have a look around the campus and accommodation here at the University of Leeds, as well as have lunch with us in the University of Leeds refectory. 8 University of Leeds Year 12 Business Taster Day - Wednesday 10th July (09.30am pm) You are invited to come and join us at the University of Leeds for a fantastic day exploring all areas of business. Students will take part in interactive workshops related to accounting and finance, business management, economics, human resources, international business, and business analytics. You will experience what it is really like to study these subjects, and to thrive in higher education. Sessions will be delivered by academics from Leeds University Business School. You will also spend time with current University of Leeds students. You shall also get the opportunity to look around the campus and accommodation here at the University of Leeds, as well as get lunch. 14 Registering with UCAS Step 1: Google UCAS Apply 2020 students
Step 2: Register for an account. You will need to make up a username and password. Make payment. Step 3: You will be issued with a UCAS ID. Step 4: Link to the school using the buzzword which is: Cairngorm Step 5: Start entering details into online from. Initially you need to enter personal details and GCSE results.
