Goal #1 Continue to provide opportunities through curriculum, instruction, assessment, technology tools and resources that allow students to demonstrate achievement and career/college readiness

Goal #1 Improve student proficiency in Literacy and Math as a result of continuous instructional alignment to the Common Core Learning Standards. All students will demonstrate continuous academic growth as measured by multiple measures. Provide multiple opportunities and systematic supports for students to build strong, multifaceted post-secondary credentials. Continue to align all district curriculum and instructional practices to Common Core Learning Standards. Investigate the most effective academic and social programmatic configurations that strengthen the K-12 continuum of learning. Maintain a research-based professional development program that cultivates ongoing learning and professional dialogue to ensure a highly skilled teaching staff.

Goal #1 Continue to implement and expand opportunities for students and staff to engage in teaching and learning both inside and outside the classroom using mobile technologies. Continue to implement and fortify the components of the district’s RTI Plan. Continue to deliver programs and strategies that support special education students in an environment that reflects more rigorous graduation requirements. Continue utilization of NWEA assessment model to inform instruction. Continue to promote and support the Science Research program, facilitating authentic and project based learning opportunities. Continue to increase the use of technology to facilitate parent/student/teacher communication.

Goal #2 Promote an environment that fosters respect, ethical behavior and responsible global citizenship

Goal #2 In partnership with community organizations continue comprehensive supports that foster social, emotional, and academic development for all students to promote a safe, secure, drug-free learning environment. Continue to provide and strengthen activities for personal growth, self-esteem, responsible behavior, youth development, character building, global citizenship, as well as fostering a positive on-line presence. Continue to support and celebrate SEL initiatives that expand the involvement of staff, students, parents and community partners in a positive and respectful school climate .

Goal #2 Continue to implement and monitor the federally mandated Dignity For All Students Act (DASA), with continued focus on the dangers and appropriate use of social media. Continue to provide information and opportunities to the school community regarding activities emphasizing exercise and nutrition for the development of healthy lifestyle choices for students. Promote student participation in extracurricular activities.

Goal #3 Effectively utilize district resources and physical assets in a manner that supports safe and healthy learning environments

Goal #3 Develop and present the operating and capital budgets with clarity, transparency and the fiscal efficiency necessary to support the Board’s priorities. Develop and recommend a budget that maximizes student opportunities while making every effort to remain within the simple majority constraints of the NYS tax cap. Update the District’s plan associated with reserve accounts. Monitor all phases of the District approved BOND issue. Continue to investigate the sale of the Carman Road School.

Goal #3 Continue to review and update Emergency Management Procedures and building safety protocols. Continue to investigate additional ways in which technology can be used to improve safety, efficiency, and communication. Continue to advance the District’s long range technology acquisition plan. Continue to promote initiatives that reduce our carbon footprint.
